Are you wondering how to book an airport taxi in Thanet online? With Express Travel Thanet only takes just a few minutes.
Here’s exactly what you need to do, step by step.
Step 1. Journey Details
Go to the button, Book Now and you’ll land on the Journey Details page, this is Step 1 of 4.
At the top, you’ll see three tabs:
- Airport Transfer : for rides to or from an airport
- One-way : for any single journey
- Cruise/Ferry Transfer : for port pickups and drop-offs
For an airport trip, click Airport Transfer.
Then fill in the following:
Flight type : Select either Arrival (airport → your home) or Departure (your home → airport).
Pickup airport : Use the dropdown to select your airport (e.g. Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton, London City, or Southend).
Destination address : Type in your home address or wherever you need to be dropped off.
Pickup date : Click the calendar icon and choose your travel date and time.
If you need a return journey, tick the Return Journey checkbox and fill in the details for the trip back too.
On the right-hand side, a live map and Route Info panel will show your distance in miles and km, estimated journey time in minutes, and number of stops.
Once everything looks correct, click Next →
Step 2. Choose Your Vehicle
This is where you pick the right car for your group. You’ll see four vehicle options, each clearly listed with capacity and price:

Choose the vehicle that suits your group size and luggage. Travelling solo or as a couple with light bags? The Saloon is perfect. Got a family with lots of luggage? Go for the Estate. Travelling as a group? The Minibus (7) or Minibus (8) has you covered.
You’ll also be asked to select your Payment type and confirm whether this is a Booking or a Quotation.
Once you’ve chosen, click Proceed → on your preferred vehicle.
Step 3.Passenger Details
Now fill in your personal details so the driver knows who to look for:
- Name : Your full name
- Telephone : Your landline number
- Mobile : Your mobile number (important so the driver can contact you on the day)
- Email : Your email address for the booking confirmation
Then add your travel information:
- No. of passengers : How many people are travelling
- Child seats : How many child seats you need (if any)
- Booster seats : How many booster seats you need (if any)
- Suitcases : Number of full-size suitcases
- Hand luggage : Number of hand luggage items
There’s also an option to tick Booking for someone else? if you’re arranging the taxi on behalf of another person.
Finally, enter your Flight/tail number (e.g. BA 123). This is really useful — it allows the driver to monitor your flight for any delays or early arrivals, so they’ll always be there at the right time.
Click Next → to continue.
Step 4. Confirm Your Booking
The final step shows you a complete summary of your booking : journey details, vehicle chosen, passenger information, and total price. Review everything carefully, then confirm.
